Lapidary cut, multi-layered Motor Agate (Fordite) cabochon set in sterling silver. The salvaged and repurposed material set in this piece began as a hunk of cured auto paint, derived from many layers of overspray that was created as a byproduct of the industrial process of spray painting cars!
This piece is a beautiful, low-domed Type 3 Motor Agate cabochon: Color on color layers, with a unique pattern and vibrant colors!
It is set in a hand-fabricated sterling silver, open-backed bezel, that has been given our signature mini-hammered finish. Resinated reverse side.
